What to know: US Passport Photo
- The photo is 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm). The head, from the chin to the top of the hair, must measure 1 to 1⅜ inches (25–35 mm).
- Your eyes should sit 1⅛ to 1⅜ inches (28–35 mm) above the bottom edge of the photo.
- Glasses are not allowed, except for medical reasons with a signed statement from a doctor.
- Use a white or off-white background with no shadows, texture or lines.
- The photo must have been taken in the last six months.
